Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException: An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party. See the inner FaultException for the fault code and detail.

Sometimes, this error occurs due to Windows Live on Windows 7 machine due to cached credential.

Just go and delete LiveDeviceId.xml file and you are set to connect to your environment.

You can find the file at “C:\Users\[windows 7 user]\LiveDeviceId\LiveDeviceId.xml”

How do you prevent this file from getting created. We have a windows service that runs and connects to multiple accounts. When connecting to Hosted CRM, we can only have on per machine.

Onpremise is fine and does not create this file or error.

You can't avoid it. This is required to connect using live authentication.
